Ring, Ring

Before we concern ourselves with what I ate today, I need to tell you about the best random Thursday surprise present ever. No, it's not an engagement ring. But it is a ring. A gorgeous ring. I saw it in a pawn shop a month ago and mentioned to Sam that I loved it. Maybe I mentioned it a couple of times. And by "maybe" I mean I absolutely did and by "a couple of times" I mean I plastered my face to the display case and drooled over it until it was time to leave. That said, I had no intention of buying it, nor did I expect her to. There are far more important items demanding a cut of our paychecks, ya know? I have no business buying myself diamond rings "just because." I didn't even ask how much it was. I just said my goodbyes and I left it behind.

But you know who made it her business earlier today to buy me a ring just because she knows I love it so much? Yeah. I'm getting her Girlfriend of the Year plaque engraved this weekend. 

It's literally impossible to take a ring picture without making my hand look like it belongs to a troll.

I am so in love with it. And Sam. And my troll hand, but only when it's wearing this ring.
